Just a reminder that there will be an extracting workshop on Monday, July 11th in the West Building at the Ward Ag Center.

If/when the 2010/2011 grant winners take off their honey, half of the  grant hive’s honey comes back to the club.  Please try to bring this to a meeting BEFORE the fair, in whatever container(s) so it can put it in bears to sell at the fair.

For those that missed the last meeting, the fair schedule was circulated and I still have a few openings.    Here’s what I have left:

Sunday, August 14 from 7:00-10:00 pm

Monday, August 15 from 5:00-10:00 pm

Tuesday, August 16 from 5:00-10:00 pm

Wednesday, August 17 from 5:00-10:00 pm

Thursday, August 18 from 5:00-10:00 pm

We now have a t-shirt for the Association.  It is a bright yellow with Wilson County Beekeepers Association on the front pocket and the reverse is a graphic of a worker, a drone, and a queen plus it is dated for the 2011 Wilson County Fair.  Exact photo is attached.  These are for sale at a cost of $15.00 (prepaid) each and you pick the size.  Please contact Roy and Melissa Everidge at  reo8005@msn.com   The shirts need to be ordered no later than July 11th.

2011 WCBA T-shirt design

There is an extracting workshop scheduled for 7:00 PM on Monday, July 11.  It will be held in the East/West building at the Wilson County Fairgrounds where we normally meet.  There will be no business meeting conducted.
