Field Day is Saturday, 19 May 2012 at 10:00 AM. In the event of bad weather, FD will be the following Saturday, 26 May.  There are four locations to choose from in Wilson County. If you did not receive the email listing of FD locations, contact petrabee@hotmail.com

DO NOT BRING A HIVE TOOL!  The apiary owner or mentor will have a hive tool.

DO NOT WEAR YOUR GLOVES!  Clean neoprene gloves will be provided for those who wish to wear them.

Participants should bring a smoker and veil along with any other protective clothing you desire (except gloves).  If you wear a bee suit or jacket to Field Day, WASH IT FIRST! Diseases and pests can be transported on dirty clothing, so always wash your outfit before wearing it to another apiary.

Finally, smoker fuel will be provided at the apiary for all who bring a smoker. There will be a demonstration on how to properly light your smoker.
