We meet tonight at 7:00 PM in the East West Building. Our guest speaker will be Clarence Collison discussing the importance of honeybee nutrition.

Honey bees require carbohydrates (sugars in nectar or honey), amino acids (protein from pollen), lipids (fatty acids, sterols), vitamins, minerals (salts), and water. Additionally, these nutrients must be present in the right ratio for honey bees to survive and thrive.

The Beginning Beekeeper Refresher Workshop scheduled for Saturday morning, 21 February 2015 has been rescheduled for Monday evening, 9 March at 7:00 PM. If you plan to attend the workshop, please contact Petra to let her know you’re coming.

The refresher workshop is still being held in the East/West Building at the James E Ward Agricultural Center but will take place on Monday, March 9 at 7:00 PM.

The Tennessee Beekeepers Association (TBA) board meeting scheduled for Saturday, 21 February has been canceled and rescheduled for Saturday, 14 March at the Farmer’s Market at the Lane Agri-Park in Murfreesboro. The facility is located on John R. Rice Blvd, about 1 mile north of Sam’s Wholesale on the same side of the road.

Thank you and stay off the roads if you don’t have to get out.
