Meeting Minutes – Monday, 13 December 2021
President Carey Mitchell welcomed 53 members and family members to the annual Wilson County Beekeepers Christmas Dinner on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the Ward Ag Center.
As this was a fun meeting, there was no business conducted. Sign-up sheets and donation envelopes were on each table. This year’s raffle was a nuc box/toolbox past-member Bill Huseman made. Chances were $1.00 each with proceeds going to the chose charity…Wounded Warrior Project.
Carey asked that we keep David Thompson in our thoughts and prayers as Candice passed away November 24.
Carey asked the membership to stand for the Pledge to the flag and Dale McCleskey provided the blessing.
A bountiful feast was enjoyed by all. (If you went home hungry, that was your fault.) A big thank you to Dale McCleskey and Freddie Stroupe for cooking our turkeys.

We played Dirty Santa with those that brought wrapped gifts. A good time was had by all. Numbers were drawn for the poinsettias.
The winner of the toolbox was lucky Chuck Benson with 47 chances sold. With that amount and the $924.00 collected from the table, we had a final tabulation of $971.00 collected for Wounded Warrior Project from the small but generous group. Before going home, Lucy Freeman donated an additional $30.00 to Wounded Warrior Project, putting us over the thousand dollar mark with a final donation of $1,001.00. Thank you one and all!!!!
A reminder…our next meeting will be January 3, 2022 with Dale McCleskey doing a program on Packages and Nucs. Remember…dues will be due.
Festivities ended around 8:30.
