Meeting Minutes – Monday, 5 July 2021
The July 5, 2021 meeting of the Wilson County Beekeepers was called to order by President Carey Mitchell at the Ward Ag Center. Fifty members and guests were in attendance. Minutes from the June meeting were approved as posted in the past newsletter. The reported checkbook balance is $__________ with a total of 176 current paid members.

Old Business Discussed:
- Thanks again to Sterling Earhart for providing this year’s Field Day and hope he enjoyed Cracker Barrel on WCBA
- Thanks to Jenny Lamb for maintaining the club’s Facebook page.
- TBA Conference registration is now open for those planning on attending. The club voted last month to cap the Conference Scholarship at $300.00 and will divide that amount with any first-time attendee (not to exceed $40.00 per attendee) after the Conference. Early registration closes September 17. At present time, nine newbees are planning on attending.
- Again, Congrats to Cecil & Sheril Ray for winning the WT Nolen New Beekeeper Scholarship this year.
- Still have slots available for the Honey Booth at the Fair. Hope to have fair and parking passes at the next meeting.
- Petra has bears for donations. She is also collecting items for the raffle basket and any pictures (bees on flowers)

New Business Discussed:
- The club has purchased a new book “Raising Honeybee Queens”. One for each of the three public libraries and one for the club. The Watertown copy has been delivered and Traci Richcreek agreed to deliver the one to Lebanon and Mt. Juliet’s copy will be delivered by Peggy
