The Wilson County Beekeepers Association meets Monday, 2 May 2011 at 7:00 PM at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center on the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon Tennessee.

I am placing an order with Mann Lake on the 13th of April to purchase more Beetle Blasters for the club.  If you have anything you would like to purchase from Mann Lake, you are more then welcome to order it through me and get it delivered to the next meeting with NO SHIPPING, if you let me know what you want me to order.  I will place the order from here, pay for it, and collect when delivered.  Please let me know by the 12th so I can put the order in on the 13th.

Good Morning, Beekeepers:

Hope everyone came though the storm with minimum damage, and the sun is shining at your end of the world!!!

  • Field Day is set for 9:00 am on April 30 at 914 Maple Hill Road in Lebanon.  Recommended for ALL newbees and 1st year beekeepers.  Please let me know if you are planning on attending so we get a head count.  Be sure to bring your protective clothing (optional), veils (mandatory), and smokers/lighter/fuel for contest at the end.  Gloves will be provided.
  • Need a couple of beekeepers to introduce beekeeping to all Wilson County 2nd Graders on May 4 and 5.  This will be at the Ag Center.
  • Eric Meador is looking to purchase a bee suit for his young daughter, Jonnie.  If you have one your child/grandchild has outgrown, please let me know so that I can get your info to Eric.

Hopefully, we can all get together for the May 2nd meeting on Swarm Prevention and Making Splits.
