3-day Short Course on Beekeeping – October 15, 16 & 17

The Wilson County Beekeeping Association is conducting a beekeeping short course on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evening, October 15, 16 & 17 at 7:00 PM in the West Building of the Ward Agricultural Center in Lebanon, TN.

The course takes three nights to complete and runs from 7:00 to 9:00 PM each night. The first two nights will be a class-room setting with some video but mostly discussion. We will cover all aspects of beekeeping. The third night will be hands-on. We will be building hives ready for use. The cost is $25/person or $45/couple. Contact Petra Mitchell at petrabee@hotmail.com to register.

The James E. Ward Agricultural Center is located at 945 E Baddour Pkwy, Lebanon, TN 37087 (the Wilson County Fairgrounds). After you enter the fairgrounds through the main gate, we are in the West Building (2nd building on your left).

The 2013 TBA Fall Conference begins Friday and continues through Saturday at Hyder-Burks Pavilion in Cookeville, TN.

Directions: From Lebanon take I40 east to exit 286, then left onto Hwy 135 N (Willow Avenue). Travel north approximately 3.5 miles and turn left onto 12th Street (Gainesboro Grade). Travel west for 2.2 miles and look for the Hyder-Burks Pavilion on your left. It’s a beige and purple building that sits back off the road. [ Google Map ]
