The Wilson County Beekeepers Association was well represented well at the North Alabama… Limestone County Beekeepers Association Symposium held at The Alabama Robotics Technology Park on Bee Line Highway, Saturday, August 10, 2013.
Those attending we’re President Carey Mitchell, Secretary/Treasurer Petra Mitchell, Leonard Walker, Ray Turner, and Herb Lester.

Pictured above are Carey Mitchell and Leonard Walker visiting with Dr. Clarence Collison, Beekeeping Specialist, Emeritus Professor/Dept. Head of Entomology and Plant Pathology, Mississippi State University. Dr. Collison spoke on: Importance of Quality Queens, Colony Management for Max Honey Yields, and Honey Bee Genetics. Other heavy hitters were Dr. Jim Tew and Jerry Hayes.
