  Allen’s Monthly To Do’s:

  • Check your queens.  If she is failing, now is a good time to replace her
  • With it being so hot, be sure the bees have plenty of ventilation
  • Make sure you have a water source.  Can be as simple as a dish filled with rocks so bees don’t drown and fill with water
  • Keep an eye out for robbing.  If you see signs of it, add an entrance reducer
  • Give extra attention to weak hives, as there is still time to strengthen

What’s blooming that the bees are working:

  • Catnip
  • Clover
  • Crepe Myrtle
  • Devil’s Walking Stick
